Once you answer your welcome questionnaire that lets me get to know your relationship, personalities, ideas, goals for your engagement session (whether it's just for the memories or to also utilize in the wedding design process), we'll start planning this shindig together!
You can find more about how the engagement session works on the FAQ page here but this is the perfect time to make this session about who you are as individuals and who you are together. I want you squealing and having a hard time choosing a favorite because we got it SO RIGHT that all of the images feel like you, your partner, and your love - right down to the small details as you interact between moments.
What you choose as the style or vibe of your session is completely open! Feel free to ask for prior galleries for inspo if you're stuck, but let it be something you're totally gonna love. This is to both celebrate this moment that lasts such a small time, and to get beautiful images into your hands, onto your walls, and into your digital lives.
Want to host a date night vibe? Done. Use this as a moment to glam up in between the craziness of work and life? Let's make time for that! Brunch picnic in the park? I always welcome mimosas and nature. My point is this: Go big, go home, or go get coffee; but wherever we go, let's put your love and connection at the center and have fun.
It's always easy to single out the big things we do together like the initial booking, planning the engagement session, and of course the wedding day. But when you're diving into this stuff for the first time, a lot of the major process is totally unknown! Need help finding vendors? I have a list of my very best connections for you. Trying to plan the timeline? I have so many samples - PLUS I'll be sending you a detailed questionnaire 6-8 weeks out that will help us put one together for you with the perfect photo and gap times. Picking out your style for a wardrobe change? I've got links on TAP for incredible styles. From getting ready lists, to portrait location scouting, herding family for photos, to the million little things day of like tying the perfect bow or literally re-building your floral arch 30 minutes before the ceremony because of strong winds (yes, really) - I've got you.
"We're not photogenic people, we're gonna need a lot of help," is exactly equal to the amount of people who see previews on my camera after a sweet moment and yell "Holy shit babe that's us!! We look so good!" and I laugh every single time, haha. Having photos that feel like you is about letting your guard down and just being with your person; they are your today, tomorrow, and forever one. When you focus on that and bring your photographer into the mix, they see it. They see imperceptible movements in your eyes and are there freezing it so you can see it, too.
Don't worry, I'll still be there quietly guiding you along the way; I want your natural selves to shine through, and sometimes that can take getting you moving, it helps you remember how to be real humans in front of someone's camera. Thankfully, that's like my whole job! We'll make sure you connect to each other, be candid and just sit together, take direction for actions rather than just stiff poses. We still wanna see those faces though, so we'll make sure we're not forgetting to look into the camera every so often! These tips throughout the day remind you to be present in where you are - sometimes we all need that little reminder. Come ready to hang out with your partner, I'll take care of the rest.

Feeling stressed because you've never had professional photos taken and are hyper fixated on not looking stiff?
