How will we receive our photos?
All deliverable images are uploaded into a beautiful online gallery and are set up to be displayed as a timeline going through your whole day in sections, from start to finish. The gallery will stay accessible via the same email link for at least one year.
From there you can (and should) download the whole gallery into a backup file to keep safe — think Google Drive, the Cloud, USB, etc. You can also download individual photos to your phone, tablet, or computer, in high res (for printing, more detail, larger image) or low res (generally for sharing on facebook).
While you can absolutely take your images to any printer of your choosing, your gallery also has a built in store. With tons of products like loose prints, albums, ornaments, canvases, framed prints, boxed prints and more — all purchased items are sent directly to your address, cutting out the middle man. I highly encourage printing your images, and because of that there are no markups in your store pricing. All prices are what it would cost me to order from the lab, as a way to thank you for giving those images life in your homes and pass down color matched and quality products at a super fair price.

How long does it take to get our photos back?
Previews get sent out within 72 hours. Final gallery delivery for a wedding is guaranteed by 6 weeks, but during peak months (August - October) that moves to 8 weeks to accommodate the rise in busy season. Portrait sessions hold steady at 1-2 weeks all year long. If there is ever any cause for delay you'll be notified promptly and updated frequently — communication is the #1 goal here.
Should we make a shot list?
The only list I'll need is family groupings, outside of immediate family members, in your last pre-wedding questionnaire.
Everyone's family set-up is unique & I don't know your important people but I can help keep track so we don't forget those you love most.

How much is due at signing?
There is a standard, non-refundable retainer of $1,000 to obtain the date and solidify the booking. This will be subtracted from your total package amount once paid.
The remaining balance of the package is due 30 days before the event. All payments are made online in your proposal document and all major credit/debit cards are accepted.

What goes into destination travel fees?
Great question! Travel fees generally involve one or more of three elements:
Flight. Lodging. Rental Car.
You'll know in our first discussions which of these apply to your destination. The total amount will be itemized and completely transparent so you know what you're paying for and why — and it'll be included in your invoice total within the package to refer back to should you need it.
We're aiming for base travel with these fees. It is not (nor should it be) your responsibility to supply fully funded luxury travel experiences for your traveling vendor — so let's break down what that means:
FLIGHT
I prefer to fly a consistent airline that we can trust — this means the airline has to have home hubs, backup planes, etc. I know some airlines may be cheaper but they are generally much more likely to delay or cancel. This will usually be United, Delta, American, Air Canada, etc. I only factor in basic economy for travel fees. Anything beyond that is a choice and I am responsible for that!
What I want you to take away is that I love me some upgrades. Last minute first class is my version of peak living. But remember: those are on me, not you! Travel fees are for what it takes to get me from Point A to Point B in an economy level cost class.
LODGING
This one got a ton of comparisons before landing on a general average — there are some regions where a hotel is the obvious way to go or some bigger cities where it may just make more sense to look into Airbnb. Since prices for lodging is always fluctuating I've created a cap on the price that I pass along in the travel fee (and again, anything above that level I take on personally.)
RENTAL CAR
Safe, economical, practical. That's literally my only goal. Rentals don't tend to vary in availability too much so I generally aim for the same thing. As noted in Lodging, I tend to arrive two days before the event date and leave the following day. This accounts for delays, cancellations, backup plans, etc. With traveling, I am always prepared! And if I want something boujie? You guessed it, that's on me.

Regardless of airline, the amount you'll be paying for will be the lowest quoted price I can find for basic economy with none of the extras.

Since prices for lodging is always fluctuating I've created a cap on the price that can be charged to you (and I then absorb the rest).
You'll be quoted for 3 nights stay OR $700, whichever is less. International stays will be capped at $900.

The rental rate will be for 4 days of a small sedan. No additional insurance is needed as I always use my own.
Are you insured?
I have insurance on my gear and myself — meaning I have insurance to show venues when needed (protects them against my actions) and I have insurance on the off chance a lens is destroyed mid-wedding day (it has been!) so that you're not liable for those damages just because it happened during your event!
Obviously if a client ever purposefully caused destruction of my or my assistant's photo gear then they would be responsible for the damages, but thanks to the gracious and kind humans I work with that has never been an issue.

What is full day coverage?
Full day coverage gives us the freedom to form the perfect photo timeline unique to your day. We aren't trying to squish everything into an eight hour timeline box, or get rid of documenting something you are looking forward to — "full day coverage" means your entire story.
Generally, I get there about an hour and a half-ish before everyone is dressed and ready. Details, getting ready, first looks and/or portraits, that sort of flow. Then we have your ceremony, any leftover portraits, and your reception. The day ends after the last reception event is covered!

Are you a LGBTQIA+ & BIPOC friendly vendor?
YES, yes, yes, yes. A thousand times yes. I want you to bring your love and all that comes with it and celebrate the shit out of it. I welcome all types of people and loves to come my way.
I know that it's a hard time in this world to find someone to amplify everyone's love equally. While I have only had the honor of photographing a small amount of these couples so far, it is absolutely not for lack of
supporting each and every one of you. Love

What can we expect from our engagement session?
Your engagement session is meant to fit the overall vibe of your celebration while incorporating unique elements that are both true to you as a couple and express who you are together. Wether your main goal is to document this chapter and use the images for Save The Dates (and therefore styled specifically to vision) or you're just getting together and commemorating the love you've built and artfully displaying the affections and bonds you have together — this session is a chance to be focused on each other for moments that snap this version of you two, forever.
FIRST THINGS FIRST
After you book, you will receive a questionnaire that helps me get to know you as a couple and plan the vibe of the engagement shoot with you.
OUTFITS
Bring what makes you feel confident and beautiful and we'll choose two or three outfits max! We just don't want to spend too much time changing.
TIME ALLOTTED
1-2 hours, depending on locations and general flow — I want to give you time to be yourselves and get comfy. More time = more genuine moments.
TIME OF DAY
When scheduling your session in the calendar, I recommend either two hours before sunset or just before sunrise. Don't write off the morning!
LOCATION(S)
Both destination and local sessions are done outside or in a rented studio space depending on the plans we're discussing for the overall feel.
STYLE OF SHOOTING
I really find when people engage each other, find movement, laughter and close, still comfortable moments we get more natural, genuine photos.

Do you only work with one second shooter?
I work with a few main photographers as my second shooters primarily, Emily, Nathan and Miles are my most common ones you'll see with me.
Generally my main second shooter is Emily Ruth, and if you've looked at my full sample galleries you've seen both of their work seamlessly built in! They are my go-to loves and trust them with all of my clients implicitly and they'll take care of you when I'm not around like you're their friends and fam. Lean on them and say hi when you see them around!
The awesome thing about having a community of people in our market is that we have each other's backs. It's so important to have a photographer who is immersed with the vendors around them.
I've taken my last few years to really connect with and build that community so that YOU are covered. In the event of a second shooter illness or absence, I always have a backup!
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
The beautiful thing about your wedding day is that it's real and it's you. Let's face it, we can't control the weather, but we do have a few options when it comes to your portraits:
A: We watch the forecast for breaks in the weather but also embrace the rain. We keep the fits and hair fresh for ceremony but otherwise, we lean in with umbrellas and good vibes (personal fav).
B: We do as much indoors as possible and sneak out during momentary breaks if possible, if you're really wanting to stay dry no matter what.
C: We revisit the idea of a portrait session all done up in your wedding attire before (if it's forecasted) or after the event, if outdoor portraits sans rain/in sunlight is truly an absolute must have. Your feelings are valid and if you are just really missing the vision you had in your head then these moments are where we go above and beyond and we make it work.
let's talk backup plans
